One of my favorite resources:)
Achieve the Core is a fabulous website designed by School Achievement Partners to help all stakeholders with information and resources to support implementation of the Common Core. I went to an amazing weekend conference called "Becoming a Core Advocate" #coreadvocates Nov. 16-17 in Chicago and got to work with many states on implementation work. I have also facilitated at GE's Building our Futures in New York in January 2014 and have been working with SAP to form a CO Core Advocates group on August 23, 2014. I am still amazed at how this resource can support our students to become college and career ready!

Hi! I am Sarah and I love teaching math. I teach 3rd grade in DPS and I teach many Professional Development sessions including New Educator's Introduction to Everyday Math and Addition and Subtraction Strategies K-3.
I am passionate about helping teachers learn to love math instruction. All children can learn mathematics and should have opportunities to explore their thinking in a safe environment. I will give major credit to the UNC Math TLP in Greeley, CO: Click here to check out the program. BEST cohort ever!!! Thanks to Jodie, Nina, Diane, and Frieda for the ongoing support. Since no one (teachers especially) exists in a vacuum, I have several teachers helping supply ideas and articles! Thank you to Jamie, Emily, and Beth! **Disclaimer-These resources are used by my district, Everyday Math, and teachers I know! I hope there is adequate citation, but if not, please let me know! |
